The obligation of two-factor authentication for employees in UIS - from 1.1.2024.

Allow us to inform you that in accordance with current legislation (Cybersecurity Act), it is necessary to implement measures at the university to enhance cybersecurity.

One of them is a higher level of security for user accounts of the University Information System using two-factor authentication (2FA). This involves additional verification of your login using a mobile application.

For easy setup, we have prepared a step-by-step guide with images: https://tech.mendelu.cz/en/35122-tutorial-for-two-factor-authentication-using-the-mobile-app. An alternative option for 2FA is also login using identity of citizen.

We kindly ask you to set up 2FA in UIS by 31.12.2023. After this date, the setup will be mandatory for your user group and you will need to contact your system integrator or helpdesk for access to UIS.
