NÚKIB Warning: Ban on the Use of DeepSeek Products

The National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB) has issued a warning against the use of products developed by the Chinese company DeepSeek. As a result, MENDELU prohibits the use of these products on university ICT systems.
DeepSeek offers AI-based tools such as language models and chatbots. However, their use poses a significant security threat — involving unencrypted data transmission, personal data collection, and connections to Chinese state structures. Data may be transferred to China or Russia and made accessible to third parties.
In accordance with the Cybersecurity Act (Act No. 181/2014 Coll.), the use of DeepSeek products is prohibited at MENDELU.
